      Jeanne Frances Radley, 81, of Conyngham, passed away Monday at her home.  Born in Palmerton on March 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Florence (Rudner) Sterling of Jim Thorpe and was a member of Black Creek UMC of Sugarloaf.

      Jeanne was a 1963 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School and was employed 30 years at Boscov’s Department Store, Laurel Mall retiring in 2010.

      Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Leland Radley; daughter Dana Ryan; grandchildren Alexandra, Brooke, Madison, and Aidan; sister Mary Louise Sheehan, Lehighton; brother John W. “Jack” Sterling and wife Joni, Jim Thorpe; nieces Patrice Bjorkman and Linda Davidson, Lehighton; nephews Paul and David Woodring, Lehighton; and special pet parrot Rio.

      Jeanne enjoyed gardening, watching variety of birds at the backyard feeder, and feeding the chipmunks who personally jumped on her lap to get their peanuts hand delivered.  She also loved classic country music, especially Alan Jackson, and oldie music from the 50s and 60s. 

      Private services with burial in St. John’s Cemetery, St. Johns, will be held at the convenience of the family. 

      In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeanne’s name to Black Creek UMC, 158 Golf Course Rd., Sugarloaf PA 18249, Valley Food Pantry, PO Box 187, Conyngham PA 18219 or the Hazleton Animal Shelter, PO 481, Hazleton PA 18201.
      The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton is in charge of the arrangements.
