Obituary
Angela Theresa (Citro) Vitro, 80, passed away on 11-30-2025. She was born in Hazleton, and raised in Freeland, PA. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angeline (Sandora) Citro.
She was a 1963 graduate of Freeland High School. She was employed by Bimbo Bakeries, Boboli, Genetti Supermarkets, and General Foam.
After retirement, she was a member of the Hazleton Active Adult Center, Lehigh Valley Senior Choice and the Geisinger Senior Cancer Support Group.
Angela was preceded in death by her son, Joseph “Joey” A. Vitro, her sisters, Mary Kaschak, Louise Greer, and Frances Havay, her brother, Michael “Mickey” Citro, and her nephew, Anthony Havay.
Angela is survived by her sons, Anthony J. Vitro and his wife Ashleigh Kutsenda (McKinney, TX) and Mark A. Vitro and his wife Mari Bendinsky (Townsend, DE), and four grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Mira, and Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 20th, in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Parish, 898 Center St. in Freeland. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning in the church from 9-10 A.M.
The Joseph A. Moran Funeral Home, 229 W. 12th St., Hazleton is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial donations in Angela’s name may be directed to the Hazleton Active Adult Center, Lehigh Valley Senior Choice, or the Geisinger Senior Cancer Support Group. -
